Colorado

It's good to be back!

Joshua

Oddly enough I arrived back on US soil before the time I left Sydney. A little trick of the international date line which will drive you insane if you think about it too much. Mom, Dad, Sarah, Paul and JOSHUA met me in San Diego! He's so cute! At 9 weeks old he got to meet his great-granny, and great-great grandparents. He was also quite the popular fellow in the retirement village.

THE END

As I was leaving Australia I decided that I should see Uluru (p.c. name for Ayer's rock). It's this huge monolith out in the middle of the country surrounded by hundreds of kilometers of nothing. I hoped a flight from Sydney and spent a couple days hiking around Kata Tjuta (The Olgas- a similar formation nearby) and Uluru. I also was able to catch one of the famous sunsets. Uluru is definately reddish, but as the sun reaches the horizen it suddenly glows. It is quite a sight! And an amazing ending to a wonderful trip to Australia!

The Field

How's this for an office? As I worked with various frog researchers at James Cook University we had some amazing field sites. This is Blencoe falls.
