Things are different here

Even our snow plows are different. There are a couple snow plows, but mostly front end loaders and huge scrappers. The roads are extra wide to allow the snow to be plowed into the middle of the street. They come along later and take it away in dump trucks.

Real Snow

Apparently it hasn't snowed like this since the '80s. Here's my car before I dug it out so they could plow the parking lot. It took a lot of shoveling and the brute force of a couple nice neighbors to get me out!

Full moon in the mountains

Only in Gunnison

Only in Gunnison could I get away with wearing a skirt and big boots. This was taken around December 8th- we thought it was a lot of snow then...
