Dog Sitting

I had my neighbor's dog, Makoa, all last week while they went to South Carolina. She can be a bit of a pain. She follows you around, is psycho in the car, you have to pick up her poop, she runs on your heels, begs for food, and got fur and sand all over my apartment. But when I climbed out of bed this morning and was being careful not to step on her, I was sad when I realized she wasn't there. No one to hike with, no one to play fetch with, no one to lay at my feet, no one to greet me like I've been gone "forever" when I get home. Dogs are nice.

What to do when you don't have a job.

What to do when you don't have a job? Or at least no responsibility for 3 months each summer. Let's start Thursday.... 14 mile hike. Friday... 20 mile mountain bike ride. Saturday... run, yoga, 20 mile road bike, music at Timbers. Sunday... Church, 20 mile road bike, music in the park. I'm thinking that August 26th is going to be hard!

Oh-be-Joyful

It's the name of a creek, valley and mountain pass. And it's hard not to be joyful with views like this even if you can't find the pass becuase there is too much snow still July 17th and you have to turn around.

Skiing in June

These pictures are from June 28th. We had a perfect, beautiful day, and amazing snow. I was pretty impressed that after all the snow we had this year I managed to find 5 other people who would pass on mountian biking and boating to hike Mt. Baldy. Yea Colorado!
